 Kennewick School Bond Information

A special election on March 10, 2009 will ask Kennewick voters to consider a school bond to renovate and expand Canyon View, Southgate, Sunset View and Cascade elementary schools; improve network and wireless capacity; and make health, safety, educational and infrastructure improvements district-wide. State matching funds would go toward renovating Lincoln elementary if they are made available by the state. To ease overcrowding, the bond would also build a new elementary near Badger Canyon. Click here for more information including projected tax rates. Haga clic aquí para información en español.

Water Leaks and Piping Problems at Schools to be Renovated

Canyon View, Southgate, Sunset View, Cascade and Lincoln Elementary Schools are all over 25 years old and have never undergone a renovation. There is significant corrosion in the piping systems. Click this link for a PDF file of water leak photos from the schools.
