Ribbon Cutting: August 23, 2018 at 10 a.m.

Dual Language: Fuerza Elementary will be the first dual lanaguge school in Kennewick School District.

Location: Former campus of Desert Hills Middle School (Map)

Square Feet: 66,338

Spaces: Thirty classrooms with an enlarged gym and additional specialist and office space. The design will be based on the new Westgate Elementary and Elementary #16 at Clearwater Creek. 

Funding: This is one of three projects paid for by a $51.1 million K-3 Class Size Reduction Grant from the state aimed at reducing student-to-teacher ratios in kindergarten through third grade classrooms in the district.

Estimated Construction Cost: $18,423,990

Project Grant Funding: $17,153,640
