Mrs. Denslow was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and grew up in St. Petersburg, Florida. As a student her favorite subject was reading. She graduated from
Towson State University, and earned a Master's reading from Mercer University in Georgia. After that she had a total of 17 years of teaching experience in middle schools, about half of it in the eastern U.S., and the other half in Pasco.
In 1990 she finished administrative credentials at WSU, and also in that year she was hired as an assistant principal for Desert Hills. She worked there for 3 years and then switched to the newly-opened HHH, where she continued as an assistant principal for 2 more years. In 1995 she was appointed as principal and has served here since. These days she still likes to read, and also likes gardening and traveling.
