Classroom Rules & Expectations
- Be on time: Students need to gather their portfolio and be ready to learn when the bell rings.
- Be prepared: Students need to bring agenda, paper, and pen or pencil to class daily.
- Be respectful: Students shall show respect by not interfering with others learning, safety, or well-being.
- Participate: Students will need to participate in the day’s activities. A portion of their grade will be reflected on their participation. There will be a large quantity of hands on activities.

- Detention given, call to parent, & loss of participation points
Grading
- Participation:Students will be given the opportunity to earn up to 5 points daily; 1 for being on time and prepared, 1 for cleaning up area, & 1-3 for actual involvement in the day’s activities.
- Homework: Most assignments will be completed during class time.
- Entry Tasks: Given everyday and graded randomly.
- Accelerated Math: We will work AC Math once a week and students need to master 3 objectives each week, worth 30 points.
- Late Assignments: I will accept late work up to one week after due date. However, a deduction of 10% will be taken for each day late. EX. 40 point assignment will loose 4 points for every day it is late. 1 day late = +36 max, 2 days late = +32 max, etc…
- Redo Assignments: Students may redo an assignment for a better grade up to one week after due date. However, an overall deduction of 10% will be taken. EX. 40 point assignment will earn a max of +36.
SCALE: 0-59% = F, 60-69% = D, 70-79% = C, 80-89% = B, 90-100% = A
