ASSIGNMENT
Purpose: 1. Create a poster board display that outlines the life and achievements of a famous person in science. Scientists list.
Materials: Reference material, materials for display, color pencils or markers, pictures, and most importantly — creativity.
Note: You must use no less than 5 references.
Procedures:
1. Research your science person — you’ll need to find out the following information.
A. Birth and Death dates of person.
B. Where they lived throughout their life.
C. Full name of the person.
D. Where they were educated
E. What types of degrees did they have.
F. All their significant achievements.
G. All other important information.
H. How has their invention/discovery impacted science and technology for us today.
I. How did their discovery/invention impact their life
J. Pictures of person and items of importance in their life.
K. How has their invention/discovery impacted science and technology for us today.
L. Describe their inventions (have pictures wherever it applies)
M. How did their discovery/invention impact their life
You need to have the following items on the poster board:
Name of science person, your name, and an illustration.
Timeline of significant achievements and important dates in their life.
All research information with illustrations, pictures or maps.
