Health clinic scheduled to break ground

Tri-Cities Community Health and Kennewick School District will hold a groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday, October 8 at 12 p.m. at the site of the new clinic located next to Amistad Elementary. The public is welcome to attend.

Kennewick School District is providing the site for the clinic. It is estimated to be completed in November. The school-based clinic will be one of two open in the Tri-Cities in 2014. The other school-based clinic will be placed at Ochoa Middle School in Pasco.

The clinic will provide primary medical care and services ranging from physicals, immunizations, preventative care, and treatment of minor illnesses. The clinic will be accessible to all Kennewick students. Payment for services will be on a sliding scale and no student will be turned away for their inability to pay.

After the clinic opens, an open house will be held for the public to tour the new facility.
