High school students join forces for good

Bring your spare change to the football game on Friday night this season because Kamiakin, Kennewick and Southridge high school studdents will be collecting donations for My Friends Place, a local homeless teen shelter.

"Unity through Change" is an initiative organized by leadership students at all three high schools.

“Our kids are all excited to be working together for our community and focused on having a positive rivalry by doing something together for our shared community,” stated Southridge High School Leadership Advisor Elizabeth Stiles. “The initial idea is to choose a different, local organization to serve each year and continue fundraising during basketball and possibly baseball season “
