New director of career and technical education announced

The Kennewick School District has selected Tricia Anderson to be the next director of the district’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) program.

Anderson has served as principal and CTE director of Granger High School in the Granger School District for the past four years. She has also been an assistant principal, business education teacher, student adviser and mentor teacher in Granger and at Connell High School in the North Franklin School District and has taught at the college level.

Anderson has a bachelor’s degree in General Studies with a minor in Art from Eastern Washington University as well as a master’s degree in Professional Studies in Teaching and Learning from Heritage University. She holds vocational teaching and CTE director certifications from Central Washington University, an administrator certification from Heritage and a principal professional certification from Seattle University.

She replaces CTE Director Debbie McClary who will retire at the end of the current school year.
