Stay up to date on bond projects

Kennewick School District has launched a new school bond project portal on its website at www.ksd.org that allows community members to follow the progress of school bond projects approved by voters in February 2015.

Community members can keep updated on projects by viewing daily construction reports and other project details, including photos and videos of work being done. Those who want to can also share school project information via their social media networks.

“We want our community to have immediate access to up-to-date photos, video and information to the projects that they approved in the last bond election,” stated Director of Communications Robyn Chastain. “It’s exciting to see the progress of the buildings and start to visualize the spaces that will soon be filled with students.”

Construction on the first two school bond projects, Desert Hills Middle School and Elementary School #15, is already underway. The general construction bid for Middle School #5 was awarded in June to Fowler Construction. Construction of the new school will begin in July.
