Music

All students at Ridge View attend music twice a week.  In the primary grades we sing songs, play games that reinforce various music skills, and play the barred instruments (also known as "Orff" instruments).  4th grade students learn to play recorders.

Coyote Chorus

4th and 5th graders are invited to join the Coyote Chorus which meets once a week during recess.  The Kennewick School District sponsors the All City 5th Grade Choral Festival each March which features all 5th grade students from all Kennewick elementary schools. 

Orchestra

5th graders also have the opportunity to sign up for orchestra which is taught by Mrs. Orr before school. 

School Programs

Each child is in a school program at least two times before leaving Ridge View.  Programs throughout the year include a Veteran's Day assembly in November, a holiday program in December, the 5th Grade Choral Festival in March, and a Spring Program in April.  Parents are invited to attend music classes in March in celebration of National Music in Our Schools Week.  Come visit us in music!
