CANYON VIEW SUPPLY LIST 2007-08


 

Kindergarten

1 4-oz. bottle of white school glue

1 box 24 crayons

12 pencils

4 glue sticks

2 pair 36” white shoe laces (for necklaces)

1 box cookies or crackers

4 dry erase markers (black, blue, red or green only; no neon colors, please)

1 1-inch three ring binder (please write name on binder)

1 large backpack or school bag (please write name on backpack)

 

 

First Grade

3 boxes 24-count regular size crayons labeled with child’s name

24 #2 yellow Ticonderoga brand pencils sharpened, if possible; label with child’s name

2 or 3 large erasers

1 pair scissors with BLUNT points (Fiskar is a good brand)

6 large glue sticks (label with child’s name)

1 4-oz. bottle Elmer’s glue (the kind with orange cap is easier for kids to open)

1 small pencil/supply box or bag (small as desk space is limited)

2 folders with inside bottom pockets

2 large boxes tissues (Kleenex) to share with class

1 package sponges for general cleanup

1 backpack or school bag (without wheels)

2 good quality whiteboard dry erase markers, blue or black, wide tip

2 old socks

 

 

Second Grade

5 black dry erase, odorless markers

30 Dixon Ticonderoga pencils (sharpened)

4 large soft pink erasers

1 box crayons (24 count)

1 small bottle Elmer’s glue (4 oz)

1 small school box to store supplies

1 pair non-pointy scissors

1 small 3-ring binder (please no trappers)

3 wide-ruled spiral notebooks (70-sheet) No college rule

1 ruler with cm and inches

2 boxes tissues (Kleenex)

Backpack

Please NO pencil sharpeners

Please label all supplies except pencils

 

 

Third Grade

3 dozen Dixon Ticonderoga brand pencils (Please do not send other brands.)

2 red pens

Pink pearl eraser

Scissors (soft grip handled scissors by Fiskar or Armanda are recommended)

24 pack crayons

2 fine-tip, dry erase markers

1 large box tissues (Kleenex)

Backpack (without wheels)

White Elmer’s Glue-All (please avoid “school glue”)

2 large glue sticks (white only, no colored glue)

1 bottle Purell Instant Hand Sanitizer

1 canister of household disinfecting wipes (Lysol/Clorox)

 

 

Fourth Grade

3   packages of three ring notebook paper

4 – dozen Pentech or Ticonderoga pencils (100% real wood) (Other pencils will ruin our sharpeners)

1 – dozen colored pens or pencils  (for correcting)

1 – large eraser

2 – glue sticks

1 – small bottle of Elmer’s glue

1 – small box or crayons or colored pencils (16-24)

1 – ruler

1 – hand pencil sharpener with lid

1 – inexpensive calculator

1 – set of four dry erase markers (not yellow)

4 – highlighter pens; 1 pink, 1 green, 1 yellow, 1 blue

1 – pair of scissors

1 – pocket folder

1 – old (but clean) sock

1 – gallon Ziplock bag with name on it

1 – large box of tissue *

1 spiral notebook

200 count notebook paper or additional spiral notebooks for daily work

1- 1 ˝” binder to store paper and science notebook

1 “Pee Chee” type folder with pockets

2 glue sticks

1 set colored markers, pencils or crayons

6 dry erase markers, dark colors like blue or black (blue Expos seem to work the best)

1 box Swiffers

1 pair scissors

1 ruler (metric and inches)

1 box tissue (Kleenex) for classroom use

1 small, plastic, zipper pencil pouch rather than a school box (optional)

Please put your name on supplies.

On PE days (Wed and Fri), tennis shoes are suggested and dresses discouraged

 

SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR ROOM A-4 LIFE SKILLS

    The following is a list of supplies that your child will need for the school year. Please label all supplies. The students will not have individual desks, so some supplies will be kept in a central area, some will go to their general education classroom, but all personal hygiene items will be kept in individual drawers. Please send the following items to school:

Special Supplies

Please send any other special supplies that your child will need while they are at school, such as diapers, wipes, training pants, or extra clothes. Please label everything.

 

Snack Time

    We will have a daily snack time. You may either send a snack each day or a supply for a week or two. We do have a refrigerator and a microwave in our room. Some ideas for a healthy snack include; granola or breakfast bars, cheese sticks, popcorn, fruit snacks, crackers or yogurt. Please label snacks with your child’s name.
