CraZy Hair Day

On February 17th Canyon View will be celebrating Crazy Hair Day!  Wear your hair up or down or all around.  Color it a silly color, with moms help, or braid it, back comb it, or use lots of rubber bands.  Just make it Crazy!

Battle of the Books

Canyon View Library is proud to present the 2nd Annual Battle of the Books (B.O.B), slated for February 21st!  What is B.O.B.?  Well, our kindergarteners through 3rd grade will be voting on the Washington Children’s Choice Picture Books (WCCPB) in March.  These 20 high quality books that have been nominated throughout the state and the children select the winner.  Last year it was Skippyjon Jones.  So, for our 4th and 5th grades to participate, they break up into teams, read the books, take some notes on the setting, plot, etc. and then answer 20 questions in a game-like environment.  They compete in their class and then the class champions meet for a school wide winner!  Last year the winners were the boys of the Pink Monkeys from Mr. Killand’s class – who will win this year?  Find out Tuesday the 21st  @ 12:15 in the Library with our Judges – Mr. Cannard and Mr. Jones!

Reading has never been so exciting!

Cinderella Ballet

Canyon View students will be treated to a performance of the Cinderella Ballet by Dance in Flight.  The performance will be on February 24th in the gym.
