Meet Mrs. Chilson

Hi! I am Mrs. Chilson. I came to Canyon View when it opened in 1978. Previously I had taught for the Kennewick School District at Eastgate and Fruitland Elementary Schools. I was also a first grade teacher for Burbank schools, an Interventionist for the Follow Through Program at Adams school in the Yakima School District, and second/third grade teacher in the Camas School District. I have more than twenty-nine years experience in K-3 grades and a Master's in Education from Heritage College. My Bachelor's degree in Education is from Central Washington University. I enjoy watching my own children play sports (soccer, basketball, wrestling, and cross country). My hobbies are reading camping, and playing with our special member to our family, Duke, the family dog. I love teaching first graders and teaching children to love reading as much as I do.
