Homework
Every Monday your child
will bring home 4 homework items.
1. A letter of the week
page. With your help your child is to work on
his/her writing skills by writing the letter
on the lines in pencil. Then they are to draw
or cut out of magazines, things that begin with
the letter of the week. This can be done over
a weeks time, it is not due back until Friday.
2. Pink reading slips.
Please read 15 minutes per night 5 days a week
to your child. After reading please initial
the slip and return on Friday. When your child
has returned 4 slips they will receive a Pizza
Hut coupon for a personal pizza.
3. Baggy books, your
child will bring home a book in a zip lock bag.
These are books that correspond with your reading
program. The little book will be in a wall paper
covered book. The wallpaper book is for protection
for the little book, to keep the corners from
being bent up. Please read this book with your
child and fill out the reading log sheet with
the name of the book and date read. You only
need to log the book once, this is so we can
keep track of the books read. Please return
by Friday and you will receive a new book on
Monday.
Please check your child’s
backpack daily. I will send a monthly calendar
home on the 1st of each month, but occasionally
important information on activities are sent
home on other days of the week.
