After graduating from Kelso High School (near Vancouver, Washington), I went to Central Washington University for two years before transferring to Washington State University. Go Cougs! I met my husband at WSU and have wonderful memories of living in Pullman. I earned a Master’s Degree in Speech and Hearing Science in 1994 and got my first job in Olympia at Providence St. Peter Hospital. I missed eastern Washington and the sunshine, so my husband and I moved to Kennewick in 1996. My first 11 years as a Speech Language Pathologist included working in rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, critical and acute care hospitals, home health and outpatient with my patient’s ages ranging from 1 to 102 years of age.

II decided to switch to the school setting in order to further my learning and experience as well as having the same schedule as my daughter who started Kindergarten in the Fall of 2006. I was nervous about the switch, but it has been such a great move for me. I love working with both the middle school and elementary school (Vista) kids. I have been here at Desert Hills since January 2006, and feel so lucky to be working with such great staff, kids, and families.

My husband, daughter and I enjoy visiting family, camping, going to the beach, and playing/watching sports and dance.
