9 Items to bring to your attention:
1) Are you a quick clicker? It's OK, there are hundreds, even thousands just like you. I have noticed on our machines that when we start them up in the morning and the login screen appears.... if you type in your password and quickly hit OK/Login the computer may act like it is denying access, or it will login and not connect to the network drives (Your My Documents Included). Our network is slower this year at the main login screen when the computer first starts.
Solution #1-Don't drink so much Pop/Coffee in the morning
Solution #2-Give the PC about 10-20 seconds to finish starting up before you log in
Solution #3-Make sure that the workstation only box at login is NOT checked.
2) Is your computer(s) restarting itself over and over? Please let me know about this ASAP. Something is causing this (How's that for an explanation).
3) Student PC's should have Deep Freeze Installed and Running. Look for a blue/white ice cube square down in the lower right next to the clock. If a red 'X' is flashing I need to freeze that computer, if there is no Icon, I will need to install it. (Rm 709 I need to Install)
4) Laser Printers not Printing?
a) There is a different procedure for setting up network printers. Notify me and I will reinstall/reconfigure so that your printer returns to working order.
b) Unplug both the Printer and the small dark gray box connecting your printer to the wall/network. Plug them back in and this will reset them (You must hit the power button on the front of the printer also). Your old documents that you wanted to print should print at this time, all 20 copies of the same document!!
5) Phones New staff- Need to follow the phone direction worksheet before you outside phone number will function correctly. If you need help with this, don't be afraid to ask.

8) If a user logs in and all you get is a blank, blue screen.....Hold down 'ctrl' 'alt' 'del' and click "Task List", select "File", "New Task", and type the word 'explorer' and click OK. Exit out of the task list window and your desktop will magically appear.
