Introduction
The Accelerated Reader program
is designed to encourage students to read on their own.
Students read
books that have
computerized tests available and then take the test in
their classroom. The tests are designed to measure comprehension
only so a student should take the test as quickly as possible
after finishing the book.
Points
Point value for each book is determined by
the length and difficulty of the book. The longer the length
or higher the
reading level, the more points the book is worth. -
Finding Books
The
index at left will direct you to the titles for which
we have tests. They are organized in alphabetical order and
include
the
test
number, the title, author, reading level and point value.
