Applying for financial aid on time is EXTREMELY important.  You may not be considered for all financial aid programs if you miss the FAFSA priority funding deadline.

The FAFSA priority funding deadline is generally the date by which the school must receive your FAFSA data from the Federal Processor. Most schools recommend mailing the FAFSA as soon after January 1st as possible and NO LATER than 1 month before the deadline for your school to ensure you meet the deadline. (FAFSA’s can't be mailed until January 1).

Some schools require admission by the FAFSA priority funding deadline as well as receipt of your FAFSA data from the Federal Processor by the listed deadline for priority funding. You may want to contact your school for details.

It is recommended FAFSA be submitted electronically at www.fafsa.ed.gov or by mailing the paper application. Applications will be available at local high schools career centers.
