Introduction

The Expansion Bus solves three problems for PC makers and users.

1. Communication: The Expansion Bus provides a method for peripheral equipment to talk to the CPU and vice versa
2. Connectivity: It provides an easy method of adding hardware to your computer. If it were not for the Expansion Bus you would be locked into the computer you by for the life of it.
3. Drivers: The Expansion Bus also provides a method for the user to control the new device and take advantage of its functions.
