Note: If you receive an popup which indicates the file will be saved in a newer format and will not be viewable from an older version, just click OK. The original files were created with FlashMX. We are using Studio 8.
Getting started, p. 8
Step 5: DO NOT attempt to view the ZooMX web site online. It is no longer available.
Getting Help, p. 12
Step 1: The Welcome Panel probably will not show up as students have already setup Flash on these computers and selected “Designer”.
Step 2: There is no link to “Lessons” in the Help menu of Studio 8. Do look around Help to see what’s available.
Step 3: Select Help>Getting Started with Flash.
Step 4: Skip this step. The Answers Panel is no longer available in Studio 8.
Setting Preferences, p. 15
Step 1: There are some minor differences in the Preferences Panel between MX and Studio 8. You should be able to find your way around regardless.
Step 2: The Editing tab is replaced with “Drawing” and “Text” Categories.
Step 3: When you drop the Align Panel onto the Components Panel, The Align Panel will become a “Tab” in the Components Panel rather than docked as indicated in the MX book.
Step 5: Choose Window>Workspace Layout.
Using Keyboard Shortcuts, p. 23
Step 3: Set Commands setting to Tools Panel rather than Drawing Tools.
