ACTIVITIES TODAY –

  • AP TESTING: (am) Biology, (pm) Physics B. The Library is closed all day including lunch.
  • RUNNING START meeting during 2nd & 4th hours in the Career Center. If you didn’t attend the meeting last week, you must attend one of the meetings today before you can register for classes at CBC.
  • BUDDY CLUB meets @ lunch in Room 418.

 

ACTIVITIES FOR TUESDAY -

  • AP TESTING: (am) Env. Science (pm) Psychology
  • CHESS CLUB meets @ lunch in Room 400.
  • FOREIGN EXCHANGE students meet with Mr. Jones during lunch in the Career Center. Please bring your lunches!
  • The JOSTEN’S rep is here from 11-1:00 for seniors needing to pay remaining balances & pick up graduation items.
  • FOOTBALL off-season conditioning from 2:2-3:10

 

STUDENTS - 


2008-09 ATHLETES: Please be aware that a new WIAA amendment was passed last week regarding sports eligibility that will go into effect starting next fall. All students must be taking at least 5 classes, and passing 5 classes to be eligible for sports. This is a change from the current eligibility rules (taking 4 classes and passing 4 classes). The Kennewick School District policy that students are passing with a 2.0 GPA will also stay in effect.

 

JOB OPENING: A person is needed to do yard work and swimming pool maintenance. If you are interested, see Mrs. Rathbun in the Career Center for more information.

 

MARK YOUR CALENDAR! Mr. Kamiakin is Thursday @ 7:30 pm in the auditorium.

The KGH Annual Sports Physical Fair will be held Saturday from 8-11 at the main campus on Dayton & Auburn Streets. Pickup forms in the main office and have them signed & completed before your exam. The cost is still only $5.

 

SENIORS: Don’t miss the 2008 all-night after graduation “European Vacation” party! There will be games, casino, prizes, and much more! Buy your ticket this Thursday @ lunch and be entered into two drawings during Mr. Kamiakin for $50 each! 


SENIOR AWARDS night is Tuesday, May 20 @ 6:30 pm in the auditorium. Many seniors will be given certificates based on their academic accomplishments at KAHS. Fill out a form in the Counseling Dept. or from your CWP teacher and return it to Ms. Williams by the end of the day this Wednesday if you have been awarded a scholarship for next year.

 

SENIORS: BACCALAUREATTE is Wednesday, June 4 at the Cathedral of Joy. If you have a musical act or speech to share, sign up in Room 442 or in the Activities Office.

 

AP TESTERS: Fees for tests must be paid to Mrs. Thoelke in the Activities Office. Only paid tests will be sent to the college board for grading. Those with special circumstances, see Mrs. Fontana in the Counseling Dept.

 

The Computer Competency Assessment is Wednesday, May 28 @ KEHS in Room 117, @ 2:30. Registration forms are in the Counseling Dept. and on the KSD website. This is the final opportunity for 2008 seniors who have not yet taken and passed the assessment or Computer Applications 1-2 to meet their graduation requirement.

 

A Non-Traditional Healthcare Careers Workshop for Men will be held Friday, May 30 from 8:30-12:30 at CBC. Find out what opportunities are available in nursing, radiology, medical assistant, or dental hygienist.
