Dear Parents and Players:
I hope you are enjoying your spring and getting ready for the summer. As we approach Memorial Day and the start of summer basketball, I wanted to inform you of our summer plans and the financial commitments that it entails. Summer is a crucial time for our players because it is the time for tremendous individual and team growth. Our goal is to have players play between 15-20 games during the summer while also receiving individual instruction through camps and workouts. Here is the schedule and a breakdown of information ahead of time:
June 9th and 10th: Basketball practice 2:45-4:45
June 18th-19th Basketball practice 9:00-11:00
June 23rd: Basketball practice 9:00-11:00
- Kennewick summer league-Tuesday evening-June 10,17. July 1,8, & 15. $15.00 per player.
- June 24-27 GONZAGA TEAM CAMP ($260) PER PLAYER. That includes dorms and food for the week. During June practices will give out paperwork pertaining to camp.
- July 7-24 Basketball Practice: 9:00-11:00
- July 25-27 Hanford Tournament $20.00 per player
KAHS Girls Basketball Camp:
- High School: July 7-10, 14-17, 21-24 times: 9:00-11:00
- Middle School: July 7-10, 14-17 Times 11:00-12:30
- Little Kids: July 7-10, 14-17 Times 12:30-2:00
Middle School and Little Kids camp flyers will be sent out and ran through the Kennewick Park and Rec.
What you do during the off-season determines how well you do during the season. “Games are won in December, January, and February. Championships are won in June, July and August. Returning players and incoming freshmen need to come to the practices to learn new team offensive and defensive strategies along with learning how to gel with next years teammates.
