Summer Camp Information

KAMIAKIN VOLLEYBALL PLAYERS!

Yes – it is that time again to start planning for spring and summer camps.
Below are the dates and information to help you schedule your activities.

All camps are open to incoming freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors.  You are not required to attend camp, it is recommended to players who want to improve their game.  Going to camp does not guarantee a player a place on a Kamiakin Volleyball team in the fall.

SPRING CAMP – Tuesday, May 29, 30, 31, June 1 – 3-5 each day at Kamiaikin’s main gym.  This is not a required activity – it is an opportunity for player to get instruction and practice playing volleyball.  Registration will be through Kennewick Parks and Rec. and will begin some time late April early May. Cost TBD.

TEAM CAMP – WSU TEAM CAMP,  July 24 – 28,  cost is $300.  You may pay in full upfront (checks can be post dated since they will not be cashed until the end of May) or you can put $50 deposit to hold a spot and pay the remaining $250 in May.  There is also a place to use your credit card number if you choose that method of payment.  All checks need to be made out to “Kamiakin Volleyball Boosters”.  The emphasis of team camp is offense, defense, transition and competition.  There will be some skill training but if you feel you need more skill work, I suggest you attend the All Skills Camp.  Which camp to attend should be based on player needs.   I will coordinate transportation for the players through parent volunteer drivers. Please fill out the information in the enclosed packet – ASAP to ensure a place.

CONDITIONING CAMP - As of this date there will be no summer female conditioning camp at Kamiakin.  It is recommended that you continue to work out on your own.  There are programs available through the Tri-City Court Club and LifeQuest that are geared to help the high school athlete.  I have included the out of season conditioning program – please be sure you are using proper technique and spotters when doing the weight lifting.

The Kamiakin Volleyball coaching staff hopes you take advantage of these opportunities to improve your conditioning and volleyball skill.  We are also aware that some dates may not work in your schedule and you may be unable to attend the above camps.  If you need information about other camps offered through the summer, please contact me.

Thank you,
