
Participants in curricular ensembles will be graded on attendance and participation in all rehearsals, sectionals, and performances. Students will also be assigned activities that promote academic, leadership, and personal musical skill development. Semester letter grades will be assigned based on the following scale:
100% to 94% = A 93% to 90% = A-
89% to 87% = B+ 86% to 83% = B 82% to 80% = B-
79% to 77% = C+ 76% to 73% = C 72% to 70% = C-
69% to 67% = D+ 66% to 63% = D 62% to 60% = D-
59% below = F
Quarter grades are PROGRESS grades and are not calculated as separate, equal parts of the semester grade. Each student’s over-all semester grade reflects a combination of points earned through weighted assignment categories:
