Inland Northwest Theater Arts Festival

October 28-29, 2006
Mead High School, Spokane, WA

Summary INTAF is a drama acting and tech conference for high schools throughout the inland northwest. Students attend 6 workshops ranging in subjects from Inprov to stage combat to stage managing. The workshops are taught by reverred drama instructors and preformers from the area. Students also get the opportunity to see several performances and speeches from the very instructors they learn from. Students also get a chance to audition for one of the four showcase scenes that are performed on the second night for all the students attending. There are other events to help break the ice between schools and to get students to know each other better, including a dance at the very end. Many new friendships are formed and old ones are made stronger.

this year's performance was Drum Machine by improv master Jill Bernard. Dana Brown gave a touching speech to students on Saturday night and performed an amazing pantomine. The showcases were from Bus Stop, The Importance of Being Earnest, Tartuffe, and the Miracle Worker.

Congratulations to our four students who auditioned for the showcases and made the part: Ashley Albert, Samantha Curtis, Evan Swope, and Heather Wilson.
