Room 12: Third Grade, Mrs. Brown

Welcome to Third Grade!

I’m excited for the 2007-08 school year.  I thought it might be helpful for you to have a supply list on hand throughout the summer to take advantage of the sales.
               
The following items need to be labeled with your first and last name:

            1 plain blue spiral - no cute covers
            1 spiral - picture on cover OK
            1 box of 48 (or less) crayons
            1 pkg. of 12 colored pencils
            1 small individual pencil sharpener
            1 zippered pencil bag (the kind you put in a 3-ring binder)
            small backpack

The following items become community property and do not need be labeled with your name.   Over the years I have found this assures the children have access to the supplies all year long rather than running out by October!

            1 box of gallon-size zip-lock plastic bags
            3 tubs Clorox Bleach wipes or similar disinfectant wipes
            4 pink erasers
            4 pkgs. of sharpened plain yellow #2 pencils
            8 sharpened red lead pencils
            2 glue sticks (the kind for pasting paper-not hot glue sticks)

The following items are NOT allowed:

            3-ring binders
            plastic pencil boxes (we have no place to keep them)
            markers
            gel pens
            colored glue
            personal pencils
            other items which distract students from the learning environment
