Fifth Grade: Mrs. Sarah Whitish-Smith, M.Ed.

Mrs. Whitish-Smith

Mrs. Whitish-Smith enjoys spending time with family, especially her husband, Kevin. She also enjoys traveling and studying history. Her favorite book is The Velveteen Rabbit and as a child would wonder if her stuffed animals would come alive when she wasn't around!

She loves to teach fifth graders, especially the subjects of math and science. Her goals for her students are to gain personal responsibility, and to always put their very best effort into their learning.

Parents should know that student planners should be checked daily, as missing assignments and notes home are found here. Students are expected to read twenty minutes a night. There will usually be about four math homework assignments per week.

Students who master personal responsibility in fifth grade have a much easier transition to middle school, so work hard to become independent learners!
