Meet Mrs. Slagle

Mrs. Slagle came from Amistad Elementary where she was a reading specialist, math specialist, taught 1st grade as well as a P.M. kindergarten class over 15 years. In the past she’s taught 4th grade, 1st/2nd combination, 4 year old kindergarten as well as some pre-school.
Her family moved to the Tri-Cities from Bremerton 18 years ago. Two of her three children went to Canyon View. They are all grown up, graduating from Washington State University just like she did in 1972. Her elementary education degree was in Speech and Hearing. She later got her Reading Endorsement and went on to get a Masters Degree in Literacy.
Mrs. Slagle teaches reading to students K-5.
She loves spending time with her family (especially her 2 grandchildren), teaching, reading and sewing.
