There is a lot of “hands on” learning that takes place every day in the classroom. Parents are always welcome to join us and lend a helping hand.
Learning Centers Times:
9:30 to 10:15 (AM class)
1:00 to 2:00 (PM class)
Most of our learning activities are based on themes which we incorporate into our reading and writing activities, as well as math, science and social studies. To keep you informed, I send a weekly newsletter home that is a review of our weekly activities.
The District places great importance in reading to your child 20 minutes a day, so I feel this is the most important “homework” you can do with your child on a daily basis. You can also check the weekly newsletter for your child’s homework. There are suggested activities in the “Fun At Home” section of the newsletter that are meant for you to enjoy with your child. I do not require that this homework be returned to school, but if your child wants to return the work to school for a pat on the back from the teacher, I’d be glad to do that.
