Welcome to first grade in room 4! My name is Jan Walters and I’m thrilled to be teaching at Cascade! I am a product of the Kennewick School District and had the opportunity to student-teacher here too. Before I became a Cascade Cougar I was a WSU Coug and then joined the district in 1999. I love teaching first grade because there is tremendous growth at this level. Many children enter barely knowing the alphabet and leave as successful readers. I hope you enjoy watching your first grader grow and learn as much as I enjoy teaching them!

Spelling words go home on Mondays, test on Fridays
Weekly Behavior Cards go home on Friday, sign and return them on Mondays
Baggie Books go home on Fridays, read and return by the following Friday
