Principal’s message
Edison has grown by three portables, which we call cabins, since last year. The addition of more rooms has resulted in generally smaller class sizes, with a few exceptions. We are pleased with the added staff and opportunity to serve students better.
Elementary is a time of growth in many areas for children. Academic foundations are being laid along with patterns of social interaction and character development that continue to progress through the grades. You are your child’s first and most important teacher. In school we are building upon the work you have started, and together we can help your child learn the skills and acquire the knowledge required at each step of the way. Our common goal is a child ready to enter the world prepared to pursue higher education and enter the workforce.
A supportive home environment that values education is important to children. Get to know your child’s teacher. Ask questions and show an interest in homework or units of study your child is learning. Where possible, create a quiet place where your student can read and do homework without distractions.
