2.      Listen when the instructor is talking.

3.      Treat equipment and others with respect.

·        Cheating

1.      Anytime a student uses another student’s drawing to copy is considered cheating.

2.      Anytime a student prints out another student’s drawing with his/her name on it is considered cheating.

·        Classroom materials provided

1.      Each student’s assigned seat has a number on it.  The number represents a flat file that contains a book, 30° & 45° triangles, combination scale, protractor, compass set, eraser shield, and cleaning brush for you to use.

2.      This set is yours to use for the year.  It is not uncommon for a student in another class to have the same flat file as yours.  Please keep only the assigned material in the flat file.

1.      This is yours to use for the school year.

2.      At the conclusion of the school year, the instructor will check the equipment that you used.  Please keep the equipment in the condition that you received it in.  If major damage, or lost, you will be responsible to pay a fine.

3.      A folder and file cabinet is available for you to store your drawings.

·        Required student equipment

1.      Mechanical pencil

You are required to provide your own mechanical pencil for use in this class.  It is a necessity for you to have one.

If you cannot provide one for yourself, I have ones here to rent.  Payment varies.

·        Optional classroom materials

1.      USB Jump Drive

·        Grading

·        Each assignment turned in receives a number.  A 5 is an A, a 4 is a B, a 3 is a C, a 2 is a D, a 1 is an F, and a 0 means nothing turned in.

·        After you have received your assignment back, you have numerous chances to redraw it for a higher score.  This does not apply for tests and most AutoCAD drawings.

·        Drawing assignments are graded on both quality and quantity.

·        Almost every Friday is a quiz.  The quizzes are usually worth 10 points and are added to the weekly point total.

·        During the hand drafting part of the year, we complete Rhino competencies almost every Thursday!  They will be worth 5 points.

·        Percentages

Drawings/Projects = 70%                                 Tests/Quizzes= 20%

Participation/other = 10%

·        100-90 = A            89-80 = B        79-70 = C        69-60 = D        59 lower = F
