Your Mind and Your Body: Gut Checks

Your mind tells your body what to do. When you feel tired, hurt, sick, or whatever your mind may and probably will tell your body that it can't do any more or it's had enough. (Mental Toughness)

In order for us to be good coaches especially in wrestling because it's a one on one sport we need to develop or improve on your ability to tell your mind what to do, not the other way around.

To improve mental toughness you need to experience the trauma and pain of fatigue to truly understand what we are talking about.

In wrestling the first person to give in is the one to lose, in order to conquer the mind killer (fatigue) we need to practice for it just like we would practice anything we want to get better at.

We are going to make you tougher mentally by taking gut checks and if you don't know what they are you soon will

We expect your best and we won't except anything less. We hope you won't either.

Wrestling is a battle of guts and determination and we do not want you to lose because we didn't prepare you for competition.

We may get beat but we never quit, winning doesn't always mean we have the most points when the match is over, it means we gave it everything we had and did not give up on ourselves.

Winning and losing are both habits, which habit do you want.
