Any student who presents false evidence, with or without the consent of his/her parent/guardian, in order to wrongfully qualify for an excused absence shall be subject to the same disciplinary action as an unexcused absence.

A student who is temporarily excused from class, regardless of the reason, must have a pass slip from the teacher.

Teachers are required to record all absences and tardies. This record will be kept in the grade book. Absences and tardies will be recorded on report cards. The attendance office will also keep a record of the dates and periods that each student is absent.

Students will NOT be excused for:

• Driving tests
• Senior pictures
• Job interviews
• Hair appointments
• Or any other activities that can be scheduled outside of the school day
