Room 4 read The Jolly Christmas Postman written by Janet & Allan Ahlberg. This is a collection of letters and postcards written about nursery rhyme and fairy tale characters. Combining a study of fairy tales and letter writing, each student chose two related characters to write about. (For example, one student wrote a letter to Little Red Riding Hood from the perspective of the Grandmother.) Students practiced letter writing skills as well as addressing envelopes.
