A Note From the Principal...

With the start of my third year as principal at Sunset View Elementary, it is my hope we can continue to work together to realize our goals for the students of our school.  High expectations from both parents and teachers help students aim high regarding their academic achievement and behavior.  That partnership between the school and home strengthens and encourages everything we do to help our children grow to be responsible, caring, and successful adults.

Please watch for the arrival of the Sunset View Elementary Parent/Student Handbook.  When it arrives, take some time to look through the information and keep it handy for future reference. This parent-student handbook will better define some of the expectations we have at Sunset View.  Understanding these expectations will help each student learn to be part of a bigger group, moving from the small family unit to the bigger community of the Sunset View Elementary family.  Important information has been contributed by our school nurse, Shirley Swindler.  One copy per family will be sent with the only or oldest child of each family.  Look for its publication and distribution soon.

I continue to be impressed by the staff, students, and parents of our school.  We are all about student achievement and helping each and every child be the best he or she can be.

Thank you for the privilege of partnering with you in the education of your child.
