Prinicpal's Message

Spring feels as if it is just around the corner. With the spring season comes WASL (Washington Assessment of Student Learning). Approximately half of our students take the WASL and parents can help their students by encouraging them to do their very best work, providing them with a nutritious breakfast each and every morning, and insisting on a full night’s sleep. Actually, this is good to do every day!

The staff at Sunset View Elementary and I hope to continue our important school-home partnership with each and every parent and guardian. The challenges we face in today’s world fade compared to the importance of children and their needs for committed, caring adults in their lives. Thank you for your support in the endeavor of educating your child. We value your time and efforts as we continue the journey together.

High expectations from both parents and teachers help students aim high regarding their academic achievement and behavior. That partnership between the school and home strengthens and encourages everything we do to help our children grow to be responsible, caring, and successful adults.

I continue to be impressed by the staff, students, and parents of our school. We are all about student achievement and helping each and every child be the best he or she can be.

Thank you for the privilege of partnering with you in the education of your child.
