Amistad Elementary School - Phase 1

Details: The new detached addition to Amistad Elementary has 22 classrooms, plus a gym and offices. It's the first phase of the Amistad project and holds students in grades 3-5. In the second phase, the original school building will be replaced with a new 20-classroom school that connects to the Phase 1 addition and holds students in kindergarten through second grade. Amistad's total classroom count will be 42 when both phases are done.
Funding: The Phase 1 addition is paid for by a K-3 class size reduction grant from the state.
Cost: $14.1 million
