Details: The project added 16,000 square feet to the north of Tri-Tech Skills Center's existing building, providing a new location and exhibition area for the Culinary Arts program, new space for the Pre-Physical Therapy program and a new well-defined entrance with a focus on security and the front office area.

October 14, 2020

Covid19 precautions in place. West parking lot is now overlaid and striped. The contractor is preparing for COK final inspection and working on punchlist items throughout. The flagpole and mailbox are installed, working on the south rolling gate. Roofers are working on roof including snow guards. The kitchen equipment is complete. Furniture move in is on-going. Site and building look good and work is progressing toward finish.

Oct. 7, 2020

Construction fencing down. West parking lot patching complete, preparing to overlay. Reviewed miscellaneous and various small items to be completed. Repair around the shop’s overhead doors. Sound rack next week. Painting and FRP repair throughout including roof ladders. Flagpole here Tuesday. Guardrails/Handrails lowered Kitchen equipment is installed and move-in of the furniture is on-going. Clouds complete wiring low-voltage. Event center speakers are in with projector. Site and building look good and work is progressing toward finish. Punchlist walk with client tomorrow.

September 30, 2020

The construction fencing is down, the west parking lot is ready for overlay and the are preparing for final inspection. Carpet is installed working on base, the trash enclosure gates are painted, concrete sidewalks cast and nearly finished with the railings. Kitchen equipment is complete. The clouds in event center and entry are complete and nearing completion in the reception area. Installing arch specialties and base. throughout and opened up the west corridor. Site and building look good and work is progressing nicely. Royal is currently working on the parapet siding, trim and coping. Working on electrical connections throughout.

September 23, 2020

Painting this week. Getting ready for inspections. Window test passed with a couple exceptions. Glaziers working on kitchen windows. Window sills in yesterday. Almost done with event center clouds. Front sidewalks cast and handrails grouted. Kitchen equipment is complete. Clouds in event center nearly complete. Installing arch specialties and solid surfacing at the south reception counter. , Site and building look good and work is progressing nicely.

September 16, 2020

The concrete is cast on front sidewalk, guardrails and handrails are shimmed in place with the handrail on building side bolted. The parking lot is striped with directional and h-cap symbols applied. Kitchen equipment is now complete. The contractor is Installing the clouds starting in the northwest corner of the Events Center. Working on the polished floor. A large majority of the ceiling tiles have been installed. MEP hookups continuing. Site and building look good and work is progressing nicely.

September 9, 2020

Everything is going well w/ no complaints received, no site or safety issues. Covid19 precautions in place. The A/C and water are on. Landscapers are sodding and working on west side of the site. Concrete cast for the front ramps , mow strips and small sections, mainly the north stair landing and sidewalk is remaining. Kitchen equipment is complete, working on raising 4 outlets. Working above the cloud level in the events center, installing flashing at the PT windows. Back of admin the ceiling tiles are now installed. Site and building look good and work is progressing nicely.

September 2, 2020

The kitchen nearly complete, A/C and water on. Landscapers working on the east and west sides of the building addition. Landscape rock down along Kellogg and Metaline.. Concrete being placed on front sidewalk and the main steps are cast. Electricians wiring in the demonstration kitchen and wiring access control on the main front doors. Installing the last flashing and fascia metal at the sloped roof with most metal siding battens installed. Wall finishes installed in the corridor areas, carpeting and rubrail is installed in the east corridor and rubrails throughout nearly complete. Installing interior doors throughout. The mailbox is staged. Site and building look good and work is progressing nicely.

August 26, 2020

Painting on-going in the old lobby area. Landscaping along Metaline and west of the addition. Fine grading east of the kitchen. Kitchen equipment is currently being installed. Electricians wiring the Event Center doors. The slope roofing roof east fascia flashing is being installed. Wall finishes being installed in the corridor areas. Prepping PT room for carpet. The kitchen is having MEP connected to the equipment, stainless steel being installed. The overhead doors are installed at the shops. MEP work throughout, carpeting and rubrail installed in the east corridor. Wrapping ductwork in the kitchens. The mailbox is staged. Work looks good an on-going over the entire site.

August 19, 2020

Work going on over the entire site. Painting on-going in admin and the vestibule, concrete slabs east of the kitchen and glaziers working on relites throughout. The landscapers are digging and setting irrigation piping west of the addition, kitchen equipment is currently being installed, ceiling grids are being installed in the entry and events center. Installing fascia metal on the sloped roof north fascia and metal wall panels on the north elevation are being installed. Wall finishes are being installed in the admin area, the kitchen is having the stainless steel equipment installed. Paint prep on-going throughout. Asphalt work is complete and overhead doors are being installed at the shops. Casework is being installed in the demolition kitchen and the deli and wiring and mechanical is on-going throughout the addition

August 12, 2020

Work going on over the entire site. Tile grouting install on-going in the public restrooms. Painting on-going in admin and the vestibule and entry corridor. Glaziers working on the east door transoms. Digging and setting irrigation piping east of the pumphouse and west of the north parking lot. Kitchen equipment later this week. Clouds TBD, grids started this week. The slope roofing roof west fascia flashing is being installed, some areas still open. Preparing to paint throughout the addition. Installing ceiling grid in the kitchen and lighting in the east corridor. The demo kitchen, the N-S and E-W corridors, and the back of the admin have ceiling grid and operating lighting. Tile work on-going in restroom. Paint prep on-going throughout, ceiling grid going in. Working on the parapet top wall flashing on west. Temporary wall at old entry is now removed. Asphalting on the east side of the site and landscapers working on the west side.

August 5, 2020

Curbing complete, nearly ready for paving. Sloped roofing materials placed on roof. Tile work is on-going in restroom, paint prep on-going throughout. Paving prep on-going in east parking on the east side of the site, landscapers working on the west side. Asphalt date - 8/10. Sanding/mudding in admin and the vestibule and entry corridor. Glaziers working on the curtain wall trim. Digging and setting irrigation piping east of the pumphouse and west of the north parking lot. Kitchen equipment later this week. Installing ceiling grid in the kitchen and lighting in the east corridor. The demo kitchen, the N-S and E-W corridors, and the back of the admin have ceiling grid and operating lighting.

July 29, 2020

Lots of progress today. Curbing nearly complete, roofing moved to the 3rd. Painters started last weekend. Tile work on-going in restroom. Paint prep on-going throughout, roofing work on-going, delay in roofing materials (transportation). Ceiling grids started this week and kitchen equipment next week. Covid19 precautions in place. Tile install on-going in the restrooms. Mudding admin walls, sanding in PT, digging and setting irrigation piping around the pumphouse area. Gasline regulator valves being installed. The slope roofing roof lower fascia is being installed, some areas still open. Fire Alarm work on-going in the existing building. Preparing to paint throughout the addition. Reception area overhead coiling counter doors installed. Taping and mudding in kitchen area, and ceiling grid being installed in demo kitchen and E-W corridor.

July 21, 2020

East driveway and the east side of the north site is trenched for the conduit for lightpoles. Tile grouting install on-going in the kitchen. Mudding events center walls, digging conduits in north parking area. Soffits being installed, the roofing work on the sloped roof remains, along with the parapet walls. The north parking lot grading is on-going. Fire Alarm work on-going in the existing building. Preparing to paint throughout the addition.

July 15, 2020

Sitting blocks are completed. Tiling install on-going in the kitchen. Working on GWB expansion joints in events center, starting conduits at west exterior of admin to supply power to the parking lighting, the old school sign has been removed. The roofing work on the sloped roof remains, along with the parapet walls. The north parking lot is graded. Electrical rough-in on-going in admin area.

July 1, 2020

The west parking lot entry at Kellogg and the east side asphalt patching areas are completed. The curtainwall is completed. Sitting blocks are being formed and poured, working on east and west ends. HVAC work continues in the kitchens and in the admin area. GWB and framing work continues at the south end of the entry and corridors. The roofing work on the sloped roof remains, along with the parapet walls. They are currently tying in the hoods to the HVAC ductwork, hydronics line work on-going. The electrical and plumbing rough-in work is on-going throughout the entire addition. The trash enclosure masonry is completed and the stucco has now been applied. Site – job shack ready for relocation and the north site is being prepared to be graded.

July 8, 2020

Lots of progress,Covid19 precautions in place and the job trailer is moved to east side. Roofing moved to the 13th. Painters starting Friday, tile work and freezer install on-going in the kitchen: Sitting blocks are completed. GWB install in entry area. Big D’s is removing north parking lot asphalt. The electrical rough-in on-going in admin area and mudding on-going in the demonstration kitchen.

June 24, 2020

The west parking lot entry at Kellogg and the east side asphalt patching areas are completed. Sections of the curtainwall are continuing to be installed. Ramp intermediate walls have been cast and look good and they are now working on the sitting block forms. HVAC work continues in the kitchens and in the admin area. GWB work continues in all of the corridors. The roofing work on the sloped roof remains, along with some of the parapet walls. They are currently tying in the hoods to the HVAC ductwork with hydronics line work on-going. The electrical and plumbing rough-in work is on-going throughout the entire addition. Glass storefront - they are now working on the Events Center entrance wall. The job shack is ready to be moved to make way for the north site work to begin.

June 17, 2020

All is going well, The west parking lot entry at Kellogg and the east side asphalt patching areas are completed. Sections of the curtainwall are continuing to be installed. The ramp intermediate wall has footing cast and are now working on the stemwall forms. Mockup for the the wall cast and ready for review. HVAC work continues in the kitchens and in the admin area and GWB work continues in the admin area. The roofing work on the sloped roof remains, along with the parapet walls. Sprinkler lines installed and, hydronics line work on-going. The electrical and plumbing rough-in work is on-going throughout the entire addition. Working on the glass in the vestibule area. Pumphouse roof membrane installed.

June 10, 2020

Big D’s excavating at the north wall for the ramps. Working on the irrigation pipe crossing at the existing west parking lot entry at Kellogg and at the grass area in the far NE corner of the site. Curtainwall continuing to be installed. SW ramp and gutter are now cast all asphalt patching on the site will be placed tomorrow. HVAC work continues in the kitchens and in the E-W corridor. GWB in entry and east end of the E-W corridor currently being installed. The roofing work on the sloped roof remains, along with the parapet wall flashing. Sprinkler lines installed and hydronics line work on-going. The electrical and plumbing rough-in work is on-going throughout the entire addition. Glass installed in atall of the north wall sections and working on the vestibule. Large beam over the sectional wall installed in Vet teaching. RTU electrical hookups on-going.

June 3, 2020

Great construction weather, except for the rainstorm last week. Big D’s is grubbing along Kellogg and working at the SW curb cut. The SW entry drive ramp and gutter are now cast. HVAC work continues in the kitchens and along the E-W corridor. High GWB work and work in the demonstration kitchen and E-W corridor is on-going. The roofing work on the sloped roof remains, and the parapet wall and work around the existing skylights is on-going. Sprinkler lines installed and hydronics line work continues. Cable tray work on-going. The electrical and plumbing rough-in work is on-going throughout the entire addition. Glass installed in three of the north wall sections. Large beam over the sectional wall installed in Vet teaching.

May 27, 2020

The site is in good shape ready for Big D’s to start on west site and on north side of the building. Work along Kellogg has started with the SW curb cut and gutter being cast and grading around the pumphouse. HVAC work in the demo kitchen and along the entire length of the E-W corridor. The roofers are currently tearing off roofing with roof drains to be routed north to the exterior. The NE corner of the site is now the laydown area. Framing and high GWB work is on-going. The TPO roofing work remains to be done on the sloped roof, parapet walls and around the existing skylights. New skylights are installed. Sprinkler lines installed, hydronics lines continuing. The electrical and plumbing rough-in work is on-going throughout the entire addition. The Event center mechanical room has ongoing electrical work. A full crew of 36 workers on site Memorial Day. Glass to be here today. Vet teaching area now has vapor barrier installed on north and south walls.

May 20, 2020

The site is in good shape but is very wet from this morning’s heavy rain and it is currently raining. Grubbing work along Kellogg has started and Big D’s is grading around the pumphouse. The NE corner of the site is now the laydown area. Framing and high GWB work is on-going. Total Energy is working on kitchen, demo kitchen and the old NW corner entry hall ductwork. The TPO roofing work remains to be done on the sloped roof, parapet walls and around the existing skylights. The new skylights are installed. Sprinkler lines installed. The electrical and plumbing rough-in work is on-going in the kitchen. The Event center has on-going electrical work. The east parking area now has the slab at the switchgear and the N-S bollards receivers working on the E-W receivers. Meeting the Covid19 requirements.

May 13, 2020

Everything is going well w/ no complaints received, no site or safety issues and Covid19 precautions in place. Yesterday Big D’s finished the storm and the tie-ins along Metaline completed, work along Kellogg has not started. Materials mostly moved to the NE corner of the site. Framing and blocking on-going throughout the project. GWB being installed in the admin area's high walls. Total energy working in the kitchen and demo kitchen areas at ceiling hood and ducts. The old north door, southwest door and window openings have the frames removed and re-framed. The TPO has been finished on the roof over the east-west corridor and only the sloped roof and area around the skylights remains. New skylights installed. Sprinkler lines installed. The electrical and plumbing rough-in work is on-going in the kitchen south walls, the admin area, mechanical room and deli work is on-going. The east parking area now has the North-south mow strip for the central fence.

May 6, 2020

The site is in good shape, very heavy rain early this morning. The laydown materials are mostly moved to the NE corner of the site. Framing at ceiling hood and duct enclosures in the kitchen. The old north door and window openings have the frames removed and re-framed. The TPO has been finished on the roof over the east-west corridor and only the sloped roof and area around the skylights remains. Mechanical is hanging ductwork over the kitchen, demonstration kitchens and throughout the building. The sprinkler lines are now installed. The electrical and plumbing rough-in work is on-going in the kitchen south walls. East parking fencing nearly complete. The sloped roofing insulation and waterproof sheeting is in place. Sewer line is now tied in. All looks well, a very busy site and things are going smoothly. Covid19 procedures in place.

April 29, 2020

The site is in good shape, working on infiltration trenches in NE corner of the site and soon after will be transferring over to start on the northwest corner of the site along with work along Kellogg next week. This will require re-staging materials to the NE corner from the NW corner of the site. Framing admin restrooms and other areas in the vet teaching and admin areas. The old north door openings have the frames removed and re-framed sheathed with GWD. The TPO has been finished on the roof over the east-west corridor. They are hanging ductwork over the kitchen and demonstration kitchen, sprinkler lines mostly now installed. The electrical and plumbing rough-in work is on-going in the admin restroom and vet teaching areas. Plumbing also on-going in the kitchen area. Mesh for the east parking fences is just starting the east parking lot has site lighting conduits, mow strips cast and set pole bases. The sloped roofing insulation and waterproof sheeting is in place. Sewer line is now tied in. All looks well, a very busy site and things are going smoothly and they on-schedule.

April 22, 2020

The site is in good shape and watered. Framing on the exterior and fire-rated walls are completed and they are currently working on interior walls. Old north door openings have the frames removed. They just finished installing TPO over the vet teaching area and are now moving to the area over the east west corridor. The kitchen, event center, admin, main corridor and the Demonstration kitchen has sprinkler lines installed and they are currently working in the vet teaching area. The electrical feed switchover went very well. Fence posts and some mow strip in place in the east parking area. The east parking lot has site lighting conduits and set pole bases. Work to start on the east side of Kellogg later this week. The sloped roofing insulation and waterproof sheeting is in place. Electricians are now doing rough-in in the admin and vet teaching area and the plumbers are doing rough-in in the kitchen. All looks well, going smoothly and they on-schedule including meeting the Covid19 requirements.

April 15, 2020

The site is in good shape and watered. Framing on the exterior walls is now installed. They are installing TPO over the kitchen and the Demonstration kitchen. The switchover is ongoing and Robert is optimistic that they will be completed today. Fence posts are set in the east parking area and the east side fencing remains. The east parking lot has site lighting conduits and set pole bases. The switchgear slab is completed and they have set the vaults for the splice boxes. The layout of the switchgear looks very good. The parapet walls are now constructed and sheathed. The roof decking work is complete and now they are currently installing roofing, roof curbs and materials over the kitchen. They are currently installing sprinkler piping over the kitchen and the demonstration kitchen. The crews are also installing the tall wall framing in the admin area. All looks well, going smoothly and they on-schedule which will be revised for the next meeting in regards to the Covid19 shutdown/ separation issues.

April 8, 2020

The site is in good shape and watered. The Large crane has been de-mob’d. Structural steel columns and beams are installed and they are welding roof decking. MetalFab is now working on the pumphouse roof. The PUD transformer is placed and switchgear completed. Fence posts are placed in the east parking area. Big D’s has backfilled the east parking lot site lighting conduits and set pole bases. The parapet walls are now being constructed. The roof decking work is complete and now they are installing roofing insulation, roof curbs and materials over the kitchen. They are preparing to grub the west parking area for work starting next week. All looks well, going smoothly and they on-schedule which will be revised for the next meeting in regards to the Covid19 shutdown/ separation issues.

April 1, 2020

The site is in good shape and watered. The Structural steel columns and beams are installed and they are welding them in place the top sloped roof edge beams. Aden is completed. The PUD transformer is in place. Fence posts placed in the east parking area and the east side fencing is remaining. Big D’s has backfilled the east parking lot site lighting conduits and set pole bases. The switchgear is in place and looks very good. They are currently delivering roofing insulation and materials to the site. DGR and Big D's are preparing to grub the west parking area. All looks well, going smoothly and the schedule will be revised by the next meeting in regards to the Covid19 separation issues. DGR has had a worker briefing and they arecontinuing to work within the safety issues required by protocol and handwashing stations are in place.

March 25, 2020

The site is in good shape and watered. Work continues, the Structural steel columns and beams are going up and Aden is finished except washing. The PUD transformer is placed and being wired. The east end of the south fence is being installed. Big D's has backfilled the east parking lot site lighting conduits and set pole bases. Fence posts are placed in the east parking area. The switchgear slab is completed and they have set the vaults for the splice boxes. The layout of the switchgear looks very good. Patching concrete on north wall. During the school shutdown DGR is looking to grub the west parking area. All looks well, going smoothly and they on-schedule. DGR has issued a memo stating that they are experiencing some supply and personnel impacts and will affect their schedule. DGR is attempting to continue work within the current Covid19 climate.

March 18, 2020

Structural steel columns and beams are going up and Aden is currently working high on the north wall of the events center and west vet area walls. The CMU walls of the pumphouse are in place. The switchgear has now been se and they are connecting the large cables from the transformer. The switchgear slab is completed and they will soon be ready to move to the splice box at the NE corner of the exterior conduits. The layout of the switchgear looks very good. Big D's has backfilled the east parking lot site lighting conduits. Fence work is heading towards the southeast corner of the site and looks good. With the shutdown of the school DGR is looking to grub the west parking area and they will test and see if the broken asphalt is suitable as north parking lot base thereby minimizing import and export from the job site. All is going smoothly and they are on-schedule.

March 11, 2020

The site is in good shape and watered. The black concrete for the polished floor areas looks good. Work is progressing nicely and the materials are clean and organized. Aden is currently working at the east events center wall, grinding for east rake beam clearance. Working on the upper half of the walls of the pumphouse. The trenches for the PUD transformer are being backfilled and the trench going west from there has been backfilled. The switchgear slab is being prepped and they are moving into the north-south trench and should reach the north splice vault by the end of the day. The layout of the switchgear equipment looks very good. All looks well, going smoothly and they on-schedule. Fence work in the southeast corner of the site.

March 4, 2020

The site is in good shape and watered. The black concrete for the polished floor areas placed and looks good. Work is progressing nicely and the materials are clean and organized. Aden is currently has the main building masonry in place and the block staged for the walls of the pumphouse. MetalFab is working on setting the roof joists in the Vet area and the main west beam on the rake. The trenches for the PUD transformer are being dug and the trench going west from the PUD transformerre has been dug to the edge of the roadway. The layout of the switchgear equipment looks very good and the interior fire alarm conduit routing all looks good. Going very well and they are on-schedule.

February 26, 2020

The site and concrete looks good. Work is progressing nicely and the materials are clean and organized. Aden is currently working on the tall interior masonry walls and staging for the upper kitchen walls. The interior CMU walls are in place including the center section of the old plaza north wall, the wall between the kitchen and event center and the wall perpendicular to the old main entry. DGR is working on removal of the storefront on the south side of the old plaza including the old main entry doors. A second crane has been mobilized and set to replace the smaller one. And the structural steel continues to be set in place with the north verticals in place along with around the vet and admin areas and the steel up against the old north wall. All looks well, going smoothly and they on-schedule.

February 19, 2020

Aden is currently working on north masonry wall of the kitchen. The other interior CMU walls are in place including the center section of the old plaza north wall, the wall between the kitchen and event center and the wall perpendicular to the old main entry. DGR is working on the roof of the old NW vestibulel at the Vet area. All looks well, going smoothly and they on-schedule.

January 22, 2020

Working on sub-slab plumbing in trenches throughout. Concrete sidewalk rubble and large sections of removed concrete remain stockpiled. Working on rebar outside the existing NW vestibule with rebar epoxied into existing north foundation, digging under west foundation of the vestibule for new foundation, building new formwork.

Backfilling the perimeter foundation and preparing sub-slab electrical and plumbing for new concrete slabs. Bilding new foundation walls to infill access openings. Crushing the concrete rubble stockpile and planning for electrical routing on the east side of the building.
