Location: 6011 W. 10th Place (former site of Desert Hills Middle School) (Map)

Square Feet: 66,338

Spaces: Thirty classrooms with an enlarged gym and additional specialist and office space. The design will be based on the new Westgate Elementary and Elementary #16 at Clearwater Creek. 

Funding: This is one of three projects paid for by a $51.1 million K-3 Class Size Reduction Grant from the state aimed at reducing student-to-teacher ratios in kindergarten through third grade classrooms in the district.

Estimated Construction Cost: $18,423,990

Project Grant Funding: $17,153,640

Mid-Columbia Partnership

On the same site, the old Desert Hills Middle School gym (approximately 24,000 square feet) will be remodeled to accomodate the district's homeschool program, Mid-Columbia Partnership. This project is estimated to be completed by August 2018.
