School-Wide Free Meal Program
The Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) is a nationally-funded free meal service for schools in low-income areas. CEP allows Kennewick's highest poverty schools to serve breakfast and lunch at no cost to all enrolled students without without having to apply for free or reduced-price meals.

Applying for Free and Reduced-Price Meals
Apply for Free and Reduced-Price lunches at PowerSchool.
Your child may qualify for free and reduced-price meals if your family:
Is on Basic Food (formerly Food Stamps).
Is on Temporary Aid for Needy Families (TANF).
Takes part in the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservation (FDPIR).
Makes less money than what is listed on the income chart below.

Note: Families who qualified for free or reduced-price meals during the school year remain qualified for those benefits during the first 30 school days of the following school year. Schools have 10 business days to process an application from the time it is received. Families whose applications have not been approved for the current school year by the deadline will revert to full paid meals status and will be responsible to pay for all meals their students consume from that day until another application is approved.
