Guiding Student Success Through Social-Emotional Learning

Kennewick School District has a goal that all students are safe, known and valued. Presenters will share with you exactly how staff are striving to reach that goal.  Join us to learn more about our district Social Emotional Learning curriculum, Character Strong, and hear about the Social Emotional Behavior teams that are in place and creating plans that include building capacity and expanding our mental health supports, so all kids in Kennewick can experience success.

Getting To Graduation: Credit Opportunities & Requirements

Starting with the Class of 2021, Kennewick students have new graduation requirements. Learn more about the 24-credit graduation requirement, middle and high school credit opportunities, the computer competency requirement, the High School & Beyond Plan, and graduation pathways.

Earning College Credit While In High School

Jan. 19, 2021 | 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Presenters: Jack Anderson, assistant superintendent of secondary education; Chris Chelin, principal of Kamiakin High School; Ron King, principal of Kennewick High School; Molly Hamaker-Teals, principal of Southridge High School; Paul Randall, director of Tri-Tech Skills Center; Tricia Anderson, director of Career & Technical Education; and Abby Mattson, assistant director of Career & Technical Education.

Getting a jump start on college credit in high school provides students with many advantages, including saving money on a college education. Learn more about the district’s International Baccalaureate program, Advanced Placement courses, College in the High School, Career and Technical Education dual credit opportunities, and Running Start.
