Volunteers Needed for Community Engagement Board

We're seeking community volunteers to serve on our Community Engagement Board.

The board, established in partnership with the Benton-Franklin Counties Juvenile Justice Center, provides intervention support to students who are referred from schools for truancy as a result of exceeding the number of unexcused absences allowed under the law.

To qualify, you must be at least 21 years old, apply and be accepted to volunteer in the district (including passing a background check and being fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or approved for an exemption), and have a strong desire to help students overcome attendance issues and be successful in school. Board members who are bilingual in Spanish are strongly desired but it is not a requirement.
