Kamiakin High School Extends a Warm Welcome to Tribal Members in Honor of National Native American History Month

Embracing the spirit of National Native American History Month, Kamiakin High School's civics class students and staff members recently welcomed visitors from the Yakama, Palouse, and Umatilla tribes, including descendants of Chief Kamiakin, a respected Native American leader known for his pivotal role in the history of the Pacific Northwest region. They shared the rich history of the school through dance, song, and inspiring messages of unity during their enlightening "Discovering Kamiakin" presentation, fostering a deep appreciation for Native American heritage and culture.
