Tri-Tech Skills Center Core Modernization Project

The Tri-Tech Skills Center Core Modernization Project is a $45.5 million state-funded project to modernize the original 66,000-square-foot section of the Tri-Tech facility built in 1981. The project includes infrastructure upgrades (electrical, plumbing, roofing, mechanical), energy and life safety improvements, and a reconfiguration of spaces to better support current programs and allow for potential future additions such as Pharmacy Tech and HVAC/Plumbing. Newer building additions from 2007 and 2020 will not be impacted.

 

Estimated Construction Cost: $45.5 million

Construction Schedule: July 7, 2025 – Summer 2026 (est.)

Contractor: Chervenell Construction

Temporary Program Locations During 2025-26 School Year:

During construction, seven programs will temporarily relocate to off-campus sites including the Fruitland Building and Columbia Basin College.

Off-Campus Sites for the 2025-26 School Year

Seven Tri-Tech programs (Dental Assisting, Digital Arts and Filmmaking, Early Childhood Education, Video Game Design, Auto Systems, Diesel Systems and Welding Technology) are temporarily relocated to off-campus sites due to the Tri-Tech Skills Center Core Modernization Project. Construction is expected to finish by the 2026-27 school year.
