UPDATE: April 1 at 12:48 p.m.
We want to let you know about some childcare options during the school closure.
The YMCA of Greater Tri-Cities will provide childcare to the children of health care providers, first responders and other essential workers at Amon Creek, Southgate and Vista elementary schools during the school closure. Childcare services will continue through Spring Break.
The YMCA will ensure the safety and health of students and staff, including screening each employee and program participant for COVID-19 symptoms upon arrival at a program location.
For more information about childcare provided by the YMCA's child care offerings, go to ymcatricities.org.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Benton and Franklin Counties will provide emergency childcare to support first responders, healthcare workers, essential community personnel, and those parents who must work to maintain employment during the school closure. The club does recommend that, if at all possible, kids stay home in keeping with public health safety standards.
