Kennewick School District is a participant in the Recruiting Washington Teachers (RWT) program. The overarching goal of the Recruiting Washington Teachers (RWT) program is to “grow our own” diverse group of future teachers who more closely reflect the population of today’s children and youth. In Kennewick, the program is called the “Teaching Academy” that recruits and supports diverse future teachers to explore careers in education.
