Dr. Pierce serves as executive officer, responsible for the overall leadership and administration of the district. She is responsible for implementing the district’s strategic vision, mission, and goals. She serves as the Board’s link to the operational organization, assuming authority and responsibility for student and organizational success though the fulfillment of Board policies and goals.
Dr. Pierce also leads the Superintendent's Student Advisory Council made up of high school students from throughout the district. The students provide input and feedback, share ideas and perspectives with district leaders, and ask questions.
Dr. Christensen provides vision and leadership for the human resources department, including contract negotiations, labor relations, and recruitment and hiring of district staff. He also oversees the district’s PAR mentoring program and provides support for the transportation department.
Mr. Scott provides vision and leadership for K-12 Education, working with district and school administrators to ensure high-quality learning experiences and environments for students. Departments within K-12 education include elementary education, secondary education, student services, and special services.
Mr. Phillips provides vision and leadership for elementary education, providing direct support to elementary schools and principals to ensure high-quality learning experiences for all students.
Ms. St. Hilaire provides vision and leadership for teaching and learning, working with district and school administrators to ensure high-quality learning experiences and environments for students. Departments within Teaching and Learning include learning programs and supports, curriculum, assessment, professional development, instructional technology, career and technical education, and the Science Resource Center.
Mr. Roberts provides vision and leadership for business operations, ensuring fiscal responsibility, accountability, and sound stewardship of resources in the areas of business and finance, payroll and benefits, capital projects, nutrition services, and facilities and maintenance.
Mr. Cone provides vision and leadership for information technology, ensuring the safety, functionality, and reliability of district network infrastructure, information and data systems, and technology applications. Mr. Cone and his team provide technology support for students, parents and staff through the district’s Help Desk.
Ms. Chastain provides vision and leadership for communications and public relations programs, ensuring community members, families and staff receive timely and comprehensive communications and information. Ms. Chastain is the district’s media contact and spokesperson and provides support to Kennewick Community Education.
