  • Phase 1: A 20-classroom detached addition to be built on the Amistad Elementary campus. 
  • Phase 2: Current Amistad Elementary (originally built in 1992) replaced and connected to Phase 1 project.


  • Phase 1: One of three projects paid for by a $51.1 million state funded K-3 Class Size Reduction Grant aimed at reducing class size in kindergarten through third grade classrooms in the district.
  • Phase 2: Dependent on voter approval of a 2019 bond.

Project Grant Funding: $12,007,548 


  • April 2018: Phase 1 to bid
  • May 2018: Phase 1 construction begins
  • August 2019: Phase 1 opens
