Summer School
Kennewick School District will offer 2024 summer school program to students attending schools that have been identified as needing additional supports for student achievement.
Elementary
Amistad, Eastgate, Edison and Southgate elementary will offer summer school to eligible students at either the Amistad or Southgate elementary summer school sites.
Sites: Amistad and Southgate Elementary Schools
Dates: June 24 - July 17 (Monday - Thursday), no school on July 4
Hours: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Eligibility: Amistad, Eastgate, Edison and Southgate elementary students identified as benefiting from additional supports. Eligible students will receive an invitation from their school to participate.
Bus Transportation: Provided for students not in the walk zone for their attending school site.
Meals: Breakfast and lunch provided free. Breakfast: 8:30 - 9 a.m. Lunch: 12-12:30 p.m.

Middle School
Highlands and Park middle schools will offer summer school for incoming 6th, 7th and 8th graders.
Sites: Highlands and Park Middle Schools
Dates: June 24 - July 17 (Monday - Thursday), no school on July 4
Hours: 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Eligibility: Highlands and Park middle school students in incoming grades 6-8 identified as benefiting from additional supports. Eligible students will receive an invitation from their school to participate.
Bus Transportation: Provided for students not in the walk zone for their school.
Meals: Breakfast and lunch provided free. Breakfast: 7:30 - 8 a.m. Lunch 11 - 11:30 a.m.

HIGH School
Kamiakin, Kennewick and Southridge high schools, as well as students attending Phoenix, Endeavor and Legacy high schools, will be provided with credit retrieval opportunities that can be completed online or in-person at designated summer school sites.
Dates: June 24 - July 17 (Monday - Thursday), no school on July 4
Hours: Session #1: 7:30 to 10 a.m., Session #2: 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Sites: Kamiakin, Kennewick and Southridge High Schools
Eligibility: High school students in incoming grades 9-12, as well as students who may need to complete credit earning to graduate in 2024.
Bus Transportation: Provided for students not in the walk zone for their attending school site. Benton Franklin Transit also provides bus transportation that stops near the high schools.

Bus Transportation: No bus transportation provided. Benton Franklin Transit routes stop by Tri-Tech Skills Center. Use 800 N. Kellogg St., Kennewick as the destination address to search for route information.
